Sallet al Sayad means "the fisherman's basket" in Arabic. Your Oasis of Seafood Delights in Dubai.
NoteDubai's fisherman's basket — fresh from the sea to your table, every single day.
For over sixteen years, Sallet al Sayad has been the seafood institution of Al Karama. The name says it all: the fisherman's basket, full of the morning's best catch. We built our reputation on one simple rule — if it wasn't in the sea this week, it isn't on your plate today.
Our fish are displayed whole on ice at the entrance, priced by the kilo as the market moves. You choose your fish; our kitchen grills, fries, or steams it to order, served with sayadeya rice, tangy tarator, and warm Arabic bread. No shortcuts, no freezers for the fish that matters.
The kitchen is rooted in the coastal cooking of the Gulf and the Levant — rich seafood soups finished with turmeric and cream, sayadeya rice fragrant with caramelised onion and cumin, mezze that open the table before the main event arrives.
يسعدنا أن نستقبلكم — We are delighted to welcome you.
